The Program
An 18-month curriculum that progresses from foundational science to echocardiography labs and externship experience.
Echocardiography uses ultrasound to create real-time images of the heart. Students build a foundation in anatomy and physics before progressing into echocardiography coursework, hands-on lab practice, and externship courses.

No. SC Healthcare College is not currently accredited.
Accreditation is an independent review confirming that a school or program meets established quality standards. Unaccredited schools do not hold that recognition, which can affect financial aid, transfer opportunities, and certain employment requirements. State approval is separate from accreditation.
Yes—eligible graduates can still qualify for CCI’s Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) exam. CCI offers a pathway for graduates of qualifying non-programmatically accredited programs with at least one year of specialty training and 800 required cardiac ultrasound clinical hours completed before graduation.
Eligibility is determined by CCI and is not automatic upon graduation. View CCI requirements .

The Student Experience
Each part of the program has a clear role in helping students progress from core concepts to applied learning.
Lecture courses meet live through Zoom, giving students a structured schedule and opportunities to ask questions.
Practice takes place on campus, where students receive guidance and build confidence through repetition.
The program includes Externship I and II as the final stage of the curriculum sequence.
